Project thrive: an anti-bullying intervention for young people (15th September 2021)

Description

Going through bullying is tough. “Bullying is repeated aggressive behaviour by a person or a group that is directed at another person or group, and is intended to cause harm, distress or fear.” – BullyingUk. Life can feel difficult, pointless and painful in the midst of bullying. It can knock your self-esteem and affect your mental health. You may ask the the question “why is this happening to me?!”. The truth is, bullying can happen to anyone at any time. It isn’t something that happens to a certain type of person. Project thrive is a 6 week course devised by professional youth workers for young people who struggle with being bullied. Our sessions are weekly and we will cover the following topics:

1.‘What is bullying?’

2. Cyberbullying

3. Self Esteem

4. Emotional Resilience

5. A Toolbox of Strategies

6. What now?

Our course in September is open to anyone in School years 10 - 13. The course is free and you will need to sign-up via our website.
