One in six men may experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetime. Domestic abuse can occur in a relationship regardless of gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic group, physical or mental health and can involve:

  • Lying to the police about you
  • Depriving you of sleep
  • Isolation from family and friends
  • Repeated threats and insults
  • Sexual abuse
