Description
The Paediatric Therapy Service comprises of advanced, specialist physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists providing tailored, on site therapy for children of pre-school age with: A diagnosis of cerebral palsy, complex neurological difficulty of which motor is a primary difficulty or awaiting diagnosis, with some form of neuro-motor disability. The team provides child centred, family focused therapeutic intervention with the aim of every child reaching their potential to function, actively participate and enjoy life.
Following a specialist assessment, individualised therapy is provided through a variety of different therapeutic approaches. This may be through one to one sessions, or in groups, in different on-site settings.
Working closely with families and other involved professionals is an integral part of therapy to ensure the best possible outcome for the child in their everyday life.
All therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council and have extensive post graduate training and experience. All children who meet our criteria are referred to our services through Consultants and Therapists.
